Greater Manchester launches High Streets Taskforce and £20m fund

Greater Manchester Mayor Bev Craig has announced the creation of a High Streets Taskforce to spearhead the revitalization of town and city centres. The initiative will be supported by the £20m Good Growth High Streets Fund, which is scheduled to launch in late September.

The fund aims to empower local traders and community groups by providing financial support for projects such as beautifying shop fronts, establishing start-up incubators, and hosting local events. The taskforce will be composed of local traders, business experts, and community members who will help shape policy and influence government approach to high street regeneration.
