RCMP Musical Ride adds third performance at Saanich Fairgrounds

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride announced a third evening show at the Saanich Fairgrounds in Saanichton after an "overwhelming response" from the community. The added performance is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 9, at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 4:45 p.m. and a pre‑show warm‑up at 5:45 p.m. Tickets sold out within hours of the announcement.

The show is part of the 2026 Vancouver Island leg of the Musical Ride tour, which began in Courtenay on Aug. 5, continued in Duncan on Aug. 8, and will conclude on Aug. 30 in Langley. The 30‑minute performance features up to 32 mounted police officers executing cavalry drills choreographed to music. Notable participants include the mare Victoria, ridden by Sgt. Maffenbeier, and pre‑show acts Manestream Vaulters and Coastal Cowgirls.
