Greccio Slalom reenactment to take place in Rieti

The “Ruote nella Storia” national format, promoted by ACI Storico and the Automobile Club d’Italia, will arrive in the Rieti region on Sunday, September 27. The event features a non-competitive reenactment of the historic Greccio Slalom, organized by the Rieti Racing Club in collaboration with the Automobile Club Rieti.

Designed to celebrate automotive history and promote the local territory, the event is not a race and will not feature rankings or prizes. Instead, it serves as a tourist simulation where participants follow a historical route through the Valle Santa. The itinerary begins at the Terminillo Center, passing through Vazia, Castelfranco, the Santuario de La Foresta, and the center of Rieti.

The core of the event involves two passes on the historic slalom track starting from Spinacceto toward the village of Greccio. Following the driving segments, the vintage vehicles will be displayed in the village. The day concludes with a communal lunch at the “Il Nido del Corvo” refreshment point.
