Gree Electric launches vocational school with Dong Mingzhu as principal

Gree Electric has launched its first recruitment cycle for the Zhuhai Gree Technical School, a vocational institution established by the company to strengthen its skilled talent pipeline. Dong Mingzhu, the Chairwoman of Gree Electric, is serving as the school's principal.

The school, located in the Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai, aims to train high-quality technicians for advanced manufacturing. The initial cohort will consist of 300 junior high school graduates enrolled in three major departments: Intelligent Manufacturing, Electrical Technology, and Information Technology. These departments offer nine specialized programs, including refrigeration equipment maintenance, mold manufacturing, intelligent equipment operation, mechatronics, and IoT applications.

The curriculum follows an integrated model where classroom learning is connected to actual production workshops. Graduates will have priority for internships and employment within Gree Electric and its industrial chain. Tuition fees range from 9,000 to 15,000 yuan per academic year depending on the major and applicable subsidies. The school also provides various financial aid options, including national scholarships and tuition waivers for eligible students.
