Greece allocates 158,009 childcare and disability vouchers for 2026-2027

The Greek Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family has announced the final results for the 2026-2027 childcare and creative activity voucher program. A total of 158,009 children and persons with disabilities will receive vouchers for infant, nursery, and kindergarten services, as well as for Daycare Centers (KDAP) and KDAP for persons with disabilities.

The program operates with a total budget of approximately 391.6 million euros, an increase of about 13.9 million euros compared to the previous period. Funding is provided by the European Social Fund+ and national resources.

Significant changes have been implemented to expand eligibility. Income thresholds have been raised to include more middle-income households: up to 35,000 euros for families with up to two children and 38,000 euros for families with three children. Notably, income criteria have been abolished for large families to facilitate access to preschool services. Minister Domna Michailidou stated that these measures aim to support households and address demographic challenges.
