Greece allocates €75 million to accelerate Thessaloniki FlyOver road project
The Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has opened a call under the Sectoral Development Programme 2026‑2030 to allocate €75,040,184 for complementary works on the FlyOver Thessaloniki. The funding will cover the construction of an additional 1.61 km of road network and related upgrades as part of the larger 7.6 km elevated highway, which includes a roughly 4 km bridge designed to relieve congestion on the existing Regional Road.
The project is being delivered through a public‑private partnership by the Kedrinos Lofos consortium, in which the Avax Group participates, with an overall budget of about €530 million. Applications for the €75 million supplementary funding can be submitted until 31 December 2026, will be evaluated within 60 days, and the expenses are eligible for financing up to the end of 2030. The investment aims to modernise the Eastern Internal Regional of Thessaloniki and improve traffic flow in northern Greece.
