Tirana named most affordable European city for autumn travel

A study by travel agency Thomas Cook has identified the most affordable European destinations for autumn travel. Out of 51 popular destinations analyzed, 18 allow travelers to spend less than 117 euros per day.

Tirana, the capital of Albania, was ranked as the most budget-friendly city. In September, the average daily cost in Tirana is approximately 60 euros, which includes a three-star hotel stay (averaging 32 euros), a meal in a modest restaurant (around 8 to 8.50 euros), and local beer (1.50 euros).

Other highly affordable destinations include Bucharest, Romania, with a daily cost of about 67 euros, and Antalya, Turkey, at approximately 78 euros. Warsaw, Poland, and Istanbul, Turkey, also appeared on the list of top budget-friendly cities. In contrast, cities like Amsterdam were noted for significantly higher costs, with daily expenses reaching approximately 357 euros.
