Greece announces September 2026 pension payment schedule

The Greek Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in coordination with e-EFKA, has announced the payment schedule for September 2026 pensions. The distribution is divided into several phases based on the type of pension fund and employment status.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, payments will be made to non-salaried pensioners, including those from the former OAEE, OGA, and ETAA funds, as well as pensions issued under Law 4387/2016. Private sector supplementary pensions will also be credited on this day.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, the second major wave of payments will occur, covering salaried pensioners from funds such as IKA-ETAM, various bank funds, OTE, DEH, NAT, ETAT, and ETAP-MME, along with public sector pensions. Finally, OPEKA is scheduled to pay pensions for uninsured elderly citizens on Monday, August 30, 2026.

Funds are typically available in bank accounts starting from the afternoon or evening of the preceding working day.
