Greece announces three bidders for 22 regional airport concessions

The National Development Fund has announced that three investment schemes have expressed interest in the first phase of a tender for the management, operation, development, and maintenance of 22 regional airports in Greece.

The participating groups include: • Athens International Airport S.A. • A consortium of GEK TERNA S.A. and GMR Airports Greece • A consortium of Fraport AG and Delta Airport Investments S.A.

Following the evaluation of these expressions of interest, candidates meeting the pre-selection criteria will proceed to the second phase, which involves submitting financial bids. The fund aims to maximize economic returns while ensuring high service standards and infrastructure upgrades through international expertise. The 22 airports included in the tender cover various regions, including Alexandroupoli, Chios, Kos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, and Syros, among others.
