Greece asserts sovereignty and commitment to international law

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has issued a message regarding national sovereignty and adherence to international law. Speaking from Paros, Dendias emphasized Greece’s commitment to the Law of the Sea and stated that the armed forces serve to protect the country’s independence and territorial rights against attempts to challenge international legal frameworks.

Separately, Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni addressed recent incidents of antisemitism and violence, stating there is zero tolerance for racist behavior in Greece. She emphasized that the country remains a safe and welcoming destination for all visitors, including Israeli citizens, regardless of their origin or religious beliefs, and noted that such acts are condemned within the Greek democracy.
