Greece basketball faces critical Mundobasket qualifier against Spain

The Greek men's national basketball team faces a critical Mundobasket 2027 qualifying match against Spain at the T-Center. With a current record of 3-4 following a loss to Ukraine, Greece must secure a victory to maintain its chances of qualifying for the tournament in Qatar.

The Greek squad, led by coach Vasilis Spanoulis, will be without captain Kostas Papanikolaou, who is sidelined due to injury. However, Vasilis Charalampopoulos has been cleared to play after recovering from a previous injury. The Greek roster includes players such as Tyler Dorsey, Nick Calathes, and the Antetokounmpo brothers.

Spain enters the match with a 5-2 record and leads the qualifying group. Their roster includes players like Sergio De La Redea and Willy Hernangómez, though they will be without Yusta and Almansa. The match is scheduled for 19:00 and will be broadcast on ERT 2 SPORT.
