Greece delays launch of property registry MIDΑ to Aug‑Oct 2026, prioritizing agricultural lands
The Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) has postponed the start of the Property Ownership and Management Registry (MIDΑ) to a date within the August‑October 2026 quarter, moving the original July target. The first operational phase will focus on agricultural properties.
MIDΑ will integrate data from three databases – the E9 tax inventory, the OSDE system, and the Land Registry – allowing owners of agricultural parcels to compare the records, correct discrepancies, and, where large errors are found, provide explanations. The registry will also use geospatial data from the Land Registry, enabling satellite‑based monitoring to detect fraud and illegal subsidy payments. After the pilot on agricultural lands, MIDΑ will expand to cover all property types, giving taxpayers about eight to ten months to review and amend their information before full implementation.
