Greece digitizes occupational health and safety instruction books
Greece is transitioning the Instruction Book for occupational physicians and safety technicians from paper to a fully digital format. This change, mandated by labor law 5239/2025, integrates the process into the Labor Inspection Information System.
The new digital system replaces traditional printed books and eliminates the use of oral instructions in the official procedure. Each digital entry will include a timestamp to ensure traceability and provide a reliable record of when health and safety measures were recorded.
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Konstantinos Karagounis stated that the move aims to provide the Labor Inspection with an immediate view of safety instructions. The system is designed to enhance transparency and effectiveness, allowing for better monitoring of health and safety implementation in workplaces by providing inspectors with direct access to real-time data.
