Greece Enforces Temporary Traffic Reroutes on E65 and Ionia Odos
The Greek road authority announced temporary traffic arrangements on two major highways. On the Central Greece highway (E65) the left lane will be closed from 16 June to 3 July to allow resurfacing works between kilometre 20.3 and 21.55, with traffic shifting to the right lane. After the first phase the right lane and the emergency lane will be closed and traffic will use the left lane until the work is finished.
On the Ionia Odos, a separate set of technical works will be carried out on 17 June. Electronic variable‑message signs will be installed at kilometre 155.89, requiring lane diversions and temporary closure of several entry ramps. Drivers heading toward Antirrio and Ioannina will be redirected via alternative routes, and tolls at the Terovou toll plaza will be reduced for the duration of the works. Both projects include temporary signage and safety measures, and drivers are urged to follow the posted directions and drive with increased caution.
