Greece extends deadline for fertilizer subsidy applications to July 31

The Ministry of Rural Development and Food (ΥΠΑΑΤ) and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) have extended the deadline for the first phase of the fertilizer‑purchase subsidy to 31 July 2026. The subsidy, approved by the European Commission under the METSAF framework with €41 million funding, covers 15 % of the net value of qualifying fertilizer invoices up to a maximum of €50,000 per enterprise.

Eligibility requires producers to have invoices dated 15 March–30 June 2026 and to be registered in the Farmers and Agricultural Holdings Registry (ΜΑΑΕ) by 30 June 2026. The first payment will be made by 10 August 2026, with additional payments due by 31 August and 25 September for the second and third application periods. Separate application windows are set for invoices dated 15 March–30 June (applications 5‑21 August) and 1 July–31 August (applications 7‑17 September), each with corresponding registration deadlines.
