Greece eyes hosting Nations League Final 4

The Greece national football team is pursuing a path to host the Nations League Final 4, scheduled for June 9–13. To qualify for hosting rights, Greece must first finish in the top two of its group—which includes Germany, the Netherlands, and Serbia—to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

If Greece advances, the eight qualifying federations will submit hosting bids to UEFA. The host of the Final 4 will be determined by the specific quarter-final pairing selected by UEFA. For instance, if a Greece vs. Belgium matchup is chosen and Greece wins, Athens would host the tournament; if Belgium wins, the tournament would move to their home country.

This period marks a significant rebuilding phase for the Greek squad. After missing recent major tournaments, the current generation of players is focused on qualifying for major competitions, including Euro 2028, following competitive performances in the Nations League against top-tier opponents.
