Greece faces hot temperatures up to 34 °C with scattered showers and thunderstorms
The National Meteorological Service forecasts warm and mostly clear weather across Greece on 3‑5 June 2026. Temperatures will reach 33‑34 °C on Wednesday, dropping to 28‑31 °C in the western and northern regions and 30‑31 °C in the eastern mainland on Thursday and Friday. Isolated thunderstorms and brief local rain are expected in the northern Ionia, Epirus, western mainland, as well as the mountainous areas of eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Southerly winds of 3‑5 Bft will prevail, increasing to 6‑7 Bft in parts of the Aegean Sea, and visibility will be locally reduced during early‑morning and evening hours. The weather will improve after Thursday night, with only occasional showers in the mountains over the weekend.
