Greece faces hot, unsettled weather in early June 2026
Meteorologists forecast generally clear skies across Greece on Sunday, 7 June 2026, with local cloud cover and isolated thunderstorms in the morning in the northeastern mainland and mountainous regions. Temperatures will range from the low‑teens in western Macedonia to the low‑thirties in most of the continental interior, reaching up to about 36 °C in some areas.
Winds will be light to moderate, up to 4–5 bft over the seas, and gusty conditions may accompany the storms. The heat and dry conditions are expected to increase the risk of wildfires, especially as temperatures rise into the next week, according to forecaster Georgios Tsatravyllis.
