Greece faces temperatures up to 35°C with scattered showers, EMY predicts

The Hellenic Meteorological Service (EMY) forecasts that parts of Greece will see temperatures reaching as high as 35 °C on Sunday, with the greatest heat expected in eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The weather will generally be clear, but temporary cloudiness will bring localized rain or brief thunderstorms, especially in the northern and central mountainous regions.

North‑westerly winds are expected to range from 3 to 6 Bft, intensifying to 7 Bft over the Aegean in the afternoon. Across the country, daytime highs will range from 30 °C to 32 °C in most areas, rising to 34‑35 °C in some eastern locales, before a slight cooling on Monday.

The forecast also notes that visibility may be reduced locally in western mountain zones due to fog, and that wind conditions could affect sailing conditions in the Aegean and Ionian seas.
