Greece falls in UEFA rankings after PAOK loss

Greece has fallen further behind in the race to reach the UEFA top ten rankings following a series of results in European competitions. The Greek nation remains in 12th place with 41,512 points.

On Thursday, PAOK suffered a 3-2 defeat against Anderlecht, resulting in no additional points for Greece. This loss follows recent successes by Czech and Polish clubs, which have widened the gap. Poland added 400 points to its total through results from Górnik Zabrze, Jagiellonia, and Raków, while Czechia gained 200 points following a victory by Jablonec over Riga.

Looking ahead, the focus shifts to the Conference League playoffs. Greece's ability to maintain five European representatives depends on the upcoming performances of PAOK, who will face Brann, and Panathinaikos, who will face Hradec Králové.
