Greece FMCG market grows 5.6% in value through July 2026

The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market in supermarkets grew by 5.6% in value during the first seven months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. According to data from Circana, total FMCG sales reached 8.394 billion euros, an increase of approximately 445 million euros over the previous year.

Growth was observed across both primary market segments. Fixed barcode products increased by 5.2%, accounting for 77.2% of the total market value, while random weight products saw a stronger increase of 7.1%, representing 22.8% of the market.

Food remains the primary driver of the market, accounting for 82.8% of total FMCG value, with a 5.5% increase in sales value. Other categories also showed growth: household goods rose by 4.1%, and the health and beauty sector increased by 3.4%.
