Greece heating allowance expected to maintain 2026-2027 criteria

The heating allowance for the 2026-2027 winter period in Greece is expected to follow the same framework as previous years. Current planning suggests that income and property criteria, eligible fuel types, and subsidy amounts will remain unchanged.

Subsidies are projected to range from 100 euros to 800 euros, with amounts reaching up to 1,200 euros for residents in areas with particularly low temperatures.

Income thresholds are expected to remain at 16,000 euros for single-person households and 24,000 euros for married couples or civil partners, with an increase of 5,000 euros for each child. For single-parent families, the limit is set at 29,000 euros, plus 5,000 euros for each child after the first. Additionally, gross business income for the household must not exceed 80,000 euros.

Property value limits are also anticipated to stay consistent: 200,000 euros for single individuals or widows/widowers, and 260,000 euros for married couples or single-parent families, with an additional 40,000 euros for each dependent child.
