Greece hosts cultural and political festivals in Rodolivos and Sitia

Various cultural and political events took place in Greece on August 22. In Rodolivos, Serres, the 52nd festival event of the KNE and 'O Odigiti' was held at the Amphipolis Town Hall courtyard. The event featured political speeches, including remarks from KKE Amphipolis Secretary Kosmas Thanasi and KKE MP Leonidas Stoltidis. The gathering honored local history, specifically mentioning the legacy of communist miners, laborers, and farmers, such as Kostas Rousopoulos.

In Sitia, Crete, the 'Flavors of Crete's Heritage' event was held at the Sitia Indoor Arena. The festival focused on Cretan gastronomy, traditional arts, and culture, attracting local residents and tourists. The event showcased local products including carob from Arodamos, olive oil from Zirou, dairy from Kouvarakis, honey from Maggasa, and wines from Moni Toplou. Activities included a photography exhibition by Manolis Tsantakis, a pottery workshop, and demonstrations of traditional musical instrument making.
