Corfu hosts International Philharmonic Festival of the Ionian Islands

The International Philharmonic Festival of the Ionian Islands 2026 is taking place in Corfu, featuring musical performances from Greece and abroad. The event includes musical presentations throughout the Old Town at locations such as Annonciata Square, Agios Spyridon Square, Liston, and Pentofanaro.

Participating groups include the historic philharmonic societies of Corfu, such as the Old Philharmonic and Manzaros, alongside international ensembles including the Fanfara of Bedizzole from Italy, the Police Orchestra of the City of Belgrade from Serbia, the Representative Orchestra of the Border Guard from Poland, and the Ukrainian project Crazy drummers.

The festival concludes with a major artistic event at the Lower Square of Corfu, featuring musical, dance, and choral ensembles. The program follows a chronological order of the philharmonic societies' founding dates, highlighting the musical heritage of the Ionian Islands.
