Greece signs 161 collective labor agreements since February

Following the enactment of the National Social Pact, Greece has seen the signing of 161 collective labor agreements since February 16, 2026. This includes 10 sectoral, 6 professional, 144 enterprise-level agreements, and the National General Collective Labor Agreement.

The new legal framework, established after consultations between the government and social partners in late 2025, aims to strengthen collective bargaining and facilitate the extension of agreements. Recent notable deals include the petroleum trade sector, which provides a 4% wage increase in 2026 and a total of 11% by 2028, alongside benefits such as a €1,000 annual childcare allowance.

In the cement industry, agreements include four wage increases through 2026 exceeding 5.5% annually, seniority bonuses of up to 55%, and student allowances. Additionally, coverage has expanded in the food and confectionery sectors, with the food industry agreement covering over 400,000 workers and providing base salaries between €930 and €1,100, which is up to 19.6% higher than the legal minimum wage.
