Greece introduces myDiesel digital system for agricultural fuel

Starting November 1, 2026, Greek farmers will use the myDiesel application from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) to purchase agricultural diesel with an immediate tax exemption. The new system utilizes digital coupons with QR codes, allowing beneficiaries to receive the exemption directly at the pump rather than waiting for a subsequent tax refund.

The total tax relief amounts to 50.84 cents per liter, consisting of 41 cents for the Special Consumption Tax (EFC) and 9.84 cents for the corresponding VAT on that tax. To support producers, the limit for eligible fuel quantities will increase from 150% to 200% of the standard consumption rate.

The myDiesel system is accessible via the myAADE digital portal and a dedicated mobile application available on iOS and Android. The platform will automatically verify eligibility and ensure fuel quantities remain within prescribed legal limits.
