Greece issues LEADER program guidelines for cooperation schemes
The Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food has issued new guidelines for Local Action Groups regarding the LEADER program. These instructions pertain to sub-interventions P3-77-4. 1-8. 1 and P3-77-4. 1-8. 2, which focus on local and transnational cooperation within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan.
The circular outlines the application process, partner obligations, and eligible expenses for these cooperation schemes. The primary objective is to generate benefits for intervention areas and support the achievement of local strategic goals. These schemes are intended to complement local strategies by facilitating the transfer of expertise and exploring local perspectives to improve the outcomes of local programs.
To be effective, the guidelines specify that cooperation schemes must go beyond simple information exchange. They must consist of specific actions and measures that address prioritized needs, produce measurable results, and include activities for disseminating those results to designated beneficiary groups.
