Greek Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameus has highlighted significant improvements in the services provided by the EFKA social security institution. During an event at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, Kerameus stated that the average time required to grant a main pension has been reduced from 500 days to fewer than 42 days. She also noted that the digitization of 53 million stamp cards is nearing completion.

Regarding disability services, the Minister reported an 86% reduction in appointment backlogs over the last two years. Kerameus further noted that cumulative pension increases have reached 17% and that the number of working retirees rose from 30,000 to 300,000 due to recent legislative measures. She attributed increased revenue for insurance funds to higher overtime declarations and the implementation of digital work cards.

In a separate regional visit to Grevena, Kerameus, accompanied by MP Thanasis Stavropoulos, participated in the handover of keys for 10 new labor residences to beneficiaries. The visit also included inspections of local facilities and meetings with institutional representatives to discuss employment and social welfare.
