Greece maintains extensive diplomatic contact with Libyan factions

Reports indicate that the Greek government, under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has held at least twenty-four documented meetings with the Haftar family and officials in Eastern Libya. These interactions involve Khalifa Haftar and his sons, who represent the authorities in the eastern region.

In addition to contacts in Eastern Libya, the Greek government has maintained relations with the Tripoli-based administration and Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah. The diplomatic efforts have included economic missions to Benghazi and various high-level discussions aimed at managing migration and regional stability.
