Greece: Man to face trial for revenge pornography and domestic threats

A 48-year-old resident of Kos is scheduled to appear before the Mixed Misdemeanor Court of Rhodes on November 2, 2026, facing charges of revenge pornography and domestic threats.

The case stems from incidents in September 2022 involving his former partner. According to the indictment, following their breakup, the man repeatedly attempted to contact the woman and threatened to ruin her reputation by distributing private images. On September 21, 2022, he allegedly sent the woman messages via Facebook and Instagram, threatening to send nude photos to her sister and publish them online.

Shortly after these messages, the suspect reportedly appeared at the woman's workplace, where he allegedly made several verbal threats in front of her colleagues. The following day, he is accused of sending approximately 30 nude photographs of the woman to her sister, who resides in Albania, via Facebook. The sister alerted the victim and deleted the content immediately. Following his arrest by the Kos Security Department, the suspect's mobile phone was seized for forensic analysis.
