Greece mandates new car first aid kit standards for 2027

New legislation passed by the Greek Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will mandate updated first aid kit requirements for all motorized road vehicles, excluding two-wheeled vehicles, effective January 1, 2027.

Under Ministerial Decision Δ30/45652/2026, first aid kits must now meet the DIN 13164:2022 standard or an equivalent ISO standard. The new regulations introduce stricter specifications regarding the contents and marking of the kits compared to previous basic requirements.

Required items include an isothermal rescue blanket, adhesive tape, a set of 14 adhesive dressings of various sizes, four sterile individual dressings, a sterile burn dressing, six sterile wound compresses, five elastic bandages of different widths, a triangular bandage, trauma scissors, four disposable gloves, two cleansing wipes, and two medical masks.
