Greece men's volleyball upsets Slovenia 3-1 at EuroVolley

The Greek men's national volleyball team secured a major upset victory against Slovenia at the EuroVolley championship in Modena, Italy. Despite Slovenia being ranked 5th globally and Greece 26th, the Greek side won the match 3-1 with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-20.

The third set proved decisive, with Greece demonstrating resilience to reclaim the lead. In the final set, Greece maintained control to seal the win. Key performers included Dimitrios Mouhlijas with 12 points and Alexandros Raptis, who secured the final point.

This victory moves Greece to fourth place in Group A with one win and two losses, significantly improving their chances of advancing to the knockout stage. Their next scheduled matches are against Sweden and Slovakia.
