Greece Ministry of Culture completes 900+ projects worth 1.5 billion euros

Greek Culture Minister Lina Mendoni announced that the Ministry of Culture has implemented over 900 projects across Greece since 2019. These initiatives, which follow a comprehensive strategic plan, represent the largest cultural infrastructure undertaking in the ministry's history for such a period, with a total budget exceeding 1.5 billion euros.

Speaking in Nafpaktos during an event celebrating the restoration and highlighting of the Venetian Port, Mendoni noted that the projects were made possible through national resources and funding secured via the Recovery Fund. She emphasized that the ministry's mission is not only the protection and restoration of monuments but also ensuring they serve as dynamic drivers for local development and identity within their communities.
