Greece offers free entry to museums and archaeological sites

Public archaeological sites, museums, and monuments managed by the Ministry of Culture will offer free admission on September 26 and 27 to mark the European Heritage Days.

The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine.’ The program focuses on the modern threats facing cultural monuments, specifically the climate crisis, physical wear, and changing environmental conditions.

In addition to physical events, the program includes digital activities to highlight the resilience and lasting value of cultural heritage, as well as the importance of oral traditions and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge.
