Greece opens applications for Digital Tutoring substitute teachers
The Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports has issued a call for interest for substitute teachers to provide digital education through the Digital Tutoring program for the 2026-2027 school year. Applications will be accepted electronically via the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) platform from September 24, 2026, at 14:00, until October 5, 2026, at 17:00.
This recruitment initiative is activated if the program's needs cannot be met through the secondment of permanent teachers. Eligible substitute teachers must be included in the ASEP evaluation lists and possess at least five years of teaching experience.
Teachers will provide synchronous distance learning in the afternoons following regular high school hours, for up to nine 45-minute sessions per week. Their remaining hours will be dedicated to asynchronous preparation, curriculum development for national exam subjects, and creating multimedia educational materials. Notably, the service counts as actual teaching experience, with a 50% increased credit rate of 1.5 units per month, capped at 15 units per school year.
