Greece opens applications for DYPA special seasonal allowance

Applications are now open for the 2026 special seasonal allowance provided by the Employment and Vocational Training Agency (DYPA) in Greece. Electronic submissions can be made via gov.gr, while applications through Citizen Service Centers (KEP) will begin on September 23.

The allowance amounts range from 719 to 1,438 euros, depending on the profession and daily wages earned. Generally, the benefit is not granted to those receiving regular unemployment benefits between September 10, 2026, and November 30, 2026, though construction workers are an exception and may receive both.

Eligible recipients include workers under mandatory e-EFKA insurance in specific seasonal professions such as construction, brickmaking, lime-burning, pottery, tourism, and hospitality, as well as certain musicians, actors, and heavy machinery operators. The deadline for submission is November 30, 2026, at 14:00.
