Greece outlines 2027 ministerial reform action plans
The Greek government has established the primary axes for ministerial reform plans targeting 2027, with long-term objectives extending to 2030. These strategic goals focus on increasing incomes, strengthening national defense and international presence, improving state efficiency, and accelerating the administration of justice. Additional priorities include enhancing transportation, education, health services, industrial productivity, housing, and family support.
Minister of State Akis Skertsos has prepared the draft action plans, which are expected to be finalized for approval by the Cabinet in December. The planning process was supported by Evi Dramalioti, the General Secretary for Government Coordination.
Key initiatives include: - Ministry of Finance: Development of an integrated information system for agricultural subsidies, the ‘Spiti mou III’ housing program, and a new generation investment account. - Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Actions to promote Greece's Presidency of the Council of the EU. - Ministry of Interior: Implementation of a new selection system for department heads and a digital card for the public sector. - Ministry of National Defense: Construction of 13 military housing units.
