Greece prepares for October 28 national anniversary celebrations

Greece is preparing for the national anniversary of October 28, 1940. The Ministry of Interior, under Minister Theodoros Livanios, has issued circulars to municipalities and regions to ensure the organized execution of commemorative events. These instructions include protocols for wreath-laying ceremonies, parade orders, and the responsibilities of decentralized administrations. A general three-day flag-flying period is designated to begin on October 26 and continue through sunset on October 28.

In the Municipality of Kalavryta, celebrations include school activities, the decoration of public and private buildings, and light displays. Specific ceremonies are scheduled in Kalavryta, Skepasto, and Klistoria, featuring religious services, commemorative speeches, wreath-laying at hero monuments, and student parades.
