Greece prioritizes maritime tourism development

Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni has identified the development of maritime tourism as a strategic priority for the government. Speaking at the opening of the 6th Olympic Yacht Show, where she represented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Kefalogianni emphasized the sector's contribution to the national economy and its benefits for islands and coastal regions.

A central objective of the Ministry of Tourism is to expand the network of tourist ports and improve the quality of services provided. Modern infrastructure is viewed as a necessary requirement to enhance the competitiveness of Greek destinations and improve the travel experience. The government aims for qualitative, sustainable, and balanced tourism growth that respects the natural and cultural environment while supporting local businesses, employment, and commerce.
