Greece to launch unified digital portal for tax and social security debts

The Greek Ministry of National Economy and Finance is proposing a new Unified Digital Payment Portal as part of a multi-law bill currently under public consultation. The portal is designed to provide citizens with a single digital view of all their verified tax debts to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) and social security debts to e-EFKA.

Users will be able to access this consolidated information via computer or mobile device using their existing Taxisnet credentials. The system aims to reduce bureaucracy and prevent citizens from overlooking debts that are currently fragmented across different information systems. The portal will also serve as a notification mechanism, sending electronic alerts to citizens' registered emails when new debts or administrative acts are issued.

Crucially, the portal is intended as a central information hub rather than a new collection system. The actual payment of debts will continue to be processed through the existing AADE and e-EFKA systems, which retain full authority over the assessment, management, and collection of liabilities. To facilitate easier transactions, unique RF payment codes may be generated for specific debts.
