Greece pushes CRM for citizen‑focused municipal services

Thanos Mamako, mayor of Larissa and chair of the Digital Governance Committee of KED, addressed a conference in Thessaloniki on the role of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems in public administration. He described the shift to a “citizen‑centric” model where services across municipalities, courts, health and public safety become unified and personalized, allowing a request to follow the citizen across channels.

The programme is part of the national “Greece 2.0” recovery plan and is financed by the EU’s NextGenerationEU fund. The event was co‑organized by the General Secretariat of Information Systems & Digital Governance and the Society of Information, with participation from senior officials including the Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs and the General Secretary of Digital Governance.
