Greece records two reckless‑driving crashes: car plows into Vrilissia clothing store and tunnel driver ignores open door

In Vrilissia, a suburb of Athens, a driver mistakenly accelerated forward while attempting to reverse and crashed the vehicle into the glass façade of a women’s clothing shop on Pentelis Street on 13 July. The impact shattered the storefront; no injuries were reported despite the store being open.

Separately, video footage shows a motorist driving through a road tunnel with both the driver‑side and passenger‑side doors left open, obstructing traffic and creating a hazardous situation for other vehicles. The driver continued at speed while following traffic struggled to overtake safely.
