Greece reports dangerous traffic incidents in Thessaloniki and Crete

A 21‑year‑old motorcyclist in Thessaloniki ignored police signals, ran two red lights and performed high‑speed maneuvers before police pursued him. The chase ended on the regional road at Eptapyrgio, where officers immobilised and arrested the rider.

In Crete, video footage captured a driver overtaking on a double‑line turn, entering oncoming traffic and narrowly avoiding a head‑on collision with a white truck. The incident, recorded on the island’s northern road axis, highlighted a similarly reckless maneuver that could have caused a serious accident.
