Greece reports travel and employment warnings for Romanian and Moldovan citizens

Various incidents involving Eastern European citizens in Greece have been reported. A group of Romanian tourists faced legal issues at the border after being fined because rear-seat passengers were not wearing seatbelts. Consequently, the driver had their license suspended and was informed that the document could only be recovered after their vacation ended.

Separately, the Moldovan Embassy has issued a warning regarding a dangerous employment scheme targeting Moldovan citizens. Scammers on social media are promising between 1,000 and 3,000 euros for a single delivery run. This scheme has led to an increasing number of Moldovan nationals being detained or arrested in Greece.
