Greece resolves olive oil producer subsidy delays
A joint decision by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has been issued to address outstanding payments for Olive Oil Producer Organizations (OEF) under the 2023–2027 Common Agricultural Policy.
The regulation, co-signed by Deputy Minister Giannis Andrianos and AADE Governor Giorgos Pitsilis, mandates a re-examination of operational programs approved before the current period. The Ministry of Rural Development and Food will review these files to ensure compliance with eligibility terms and the completeness of supporting documentation.
Once the re-examination confirms that all conditions and requirements are met, the files will be forwarded for final recognition and settlement. The initiative aims to resolve long-standing payment backlogs and ensure the transparent and effective use of European funds to support the competitiveness and innovation of the Greek olive oil sector.
