Greece restores emergency lines 100 and 199 after technical failure

The emergency telephone lines 100 for the Hellenic Police and 199 for the Fire Service in Greece have been restored following a technical failure. The disruption was caused by maintenance work conducted by a fixed-line telephony provider.

During the outage, authorities advised the public to use the European emergency number 112 as an alternative for urgent communications. Following the completion of the necessary technical works, both the 100 and 199 lines have returned to normal operation.
