Greece rolls out temporary road and public‑transport changes in early June 2026

From Saturday 6 June 2026, Athens’ public‑transport network will operate altered schedules and detours on numerous bus, tram and metro lines. The changes, announced by OASA and STASY, include shortened routes for lines A13, 406, A10, B10, 537, 712 and many others, as well as temporary subway station closures on line 2. The adjustments are linked to road works, bridge repairs and a public‑run event in various districts and are set to continue through mid‑June.

At the same time, the city of Trikala will enforce temporary road closures and lane restrictions from 6 June to 10 June 2026. Specific streets—including Vyronos, St. Palantz, Kosma Aitolou, Kanari and Alexandras—will be blocked or narrowed during set hours for construction, crane loading and water‑network repairs by DEYAT. Drivers are advised to follow signage and use alternative routes during the designated periods.
