Greece sees summer heat with temperatures reaching up to 34 °C and strong north winds

A hot summer pattern spreads across Greece on Sunday, with mostly clear skies and temperatures climbing to the low‑30s Celsius nationwide. In the mainland, peaks of 31‑32 °C are recorded, while the islands—including Crete, the Cyclades and the Dodecanese—stay around 28‑30 °C.

These breezes are expected to persist through Monday and Tuesday, gradually easing later each day. Temperatures continue to rise through the week, with forecasts of 33‑34 °C in some mainland areas and potential highs of 35 °C on the mainland north of the country.
