Greece sets July 2026 pay dates for substitute and permanent teachers

The Greek Ministry of Education announced that substitute teachers will receive their July 2026 salary on Thursday, 9 July. The amount is reduced because it covers only 21 days of work from 1 June to 21 June, after which their contracts ended.

Permanent teachers will be paid the second half of July’s salary on Friday, 10 July. In addition, the ministry will pay compensation for untaken regular leave: for substitutes funded by the regular budget on 9 July, and for those hired through ESFA programmes on 24 July.
