Greece Pothen Esches 2026 deadline set for November 3
The deadline for the 2026 Pothen Esches asset and financial interest declarations is November 3. Approximately 300,000 individuals are required to complete the electronic submission process via the pothen.gr platform using Taxisnet credentials.
Under Law 5026/2023, the obligation applies to specific categories of people, including political figures, elected local officials, certain public sector employees, judicial officers, and specific private sector executives. The declarations cover income and financial interests from 2025, as well as the asset status as of December 31, 2025. In certain cases, spouses, civil partners, and minor children must also file separate declarations.
While many data points are automatically retrieved from banks and other agencies, declarants are legally responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of the information. Particular attention should be paid to bank deposits, investments, real estate, and vehicles. Failure to meet the deadline may result in penalties for late submission.
